The Bachelor of Education with a major in Religious Education is a four year full-time degree programme consisting of 127 credit hours. It is designed to prepare teachers to meet the general demands of the learning environment and to be competent professionals in the chosen area of specialty. The programme major is education comprising of professional education courses and specialised religious education courses. In addition, the programme is designed with a general education core that is transferable to another major in the field of education.

The degree is also designed as a completion degree for those with professional diplomas or certificates from accredited or approved institution. To this end the programme will cater to teachers with diplomas in the specialist area of teaching methodology who need to complete a Bachelor of Education degree. Transfer credits are subject to the admissions policy on credit transfer.
