“The etiology and epidemiology of substance abuse need addiction counseling”.

Barris Malcolm, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut’s (UConn) in the School of Social Work and is the Coordinator of the Joint MSW/MDIV Degree Program between the School Yale University Divinity School. Barris teaches courses in administration, macro foundation theory and practice, and social welfare policy and social service delivery systems. His areas of specialization include analysis of social welfare issues, financial management, substance abuse, and homelessness.

The goal of the conference is to educate and enhance the efficient outcome in case practice. The conference is designed to address the individual within community; focusing on both the plight of the individual striving for meaningful existence and the contextual complexities of community development.
